Faith Capsule Series - 8 & 9

The eighth feature of I'bad Ar-Rahman Al-Mu’minin is to accecpt advice.  Allah decrees in Surah Al-Furqan, verse 73, meaning:

”Those who, when they are admonished with the Signs of their Lord, droop not down at them as if they were deaf or blind.”  (Abdullah Yusuf Ali)

The heart of His servant who is called an I'bad Ar-Rahman is always breathing and alive the moment he hears a reminder that comes from God, through the holy verses of Al-Quran Al-Karim, their hearts always respond and give a positive response, and hold on tightly to the reminder from Lord Almighty; their hearts also accept with ears that are listening, with eyes that are far-sighted and ever open when nur syahadah of God is blown by the gentle breeze Al-Quran Al-Karim. Their hearts and minds are quick to react positively to the reminder of God conveyed by Him through Al-Quran, indeed the mind and body of one who is called I'bad called Ar-Rahman is always submissive and obedient to Ar-Rahman.

The manner they accepted all reminders from Allah SWT is far ahead compared to the tribes that were kuffar, munafiqin and those who were sinners. These tribes when they heard the words of God, they felt nothing and the warnings that they had heard were not able to change them; their hearts and souls were empty as the dented empty tin cans that were kicked around by street kids, indeed it was even worst when their lives continue to be in disbelief, disobedience, ignorance and stubbornness, to the point of being extreme as if they were deaf and blind. As words of Allah in Surah At-Taubah, verse 124 -125, meaning:

“Whenever there cometh downs a sura, some of them say: "Which of you has had His faith increased by it?" Yea, those who believe - their faith are increased and they do rejoice.
But those in whose hearts are a disease - it will add doubt to their doubt, and they will die in a state of Unbelief.”  (Abdullah Yusuf Ali)

The ninth feature of I'bad Ar-Rahman is to plea to God in prayer. As words of Allah in Surah Al-Furqan, verse 74, meaning:

“And those who pray, "Our Lord! Grant unto us wives and offspring who will be the comfort of our eyes, and give us (the grace) to lead the righteous."  (Abdullah Yusuf Ali)

I'bad Ar-Rahman is the most revered title by the side of God, they will not stop simply because it is enough with only what they are doing and acquired, indeed their vision in the arena of Islamic dakwah is very far into the future; to them, a sense of generosity and happiness is not confined to them alone, but they also wish a change of soul in the institutions (madrasas) of Tazkiyah an-nafs to happen to all the people who are living around them. The principle that must be emphasised to cause changes in search of peace in this world and hereafter is wife and children, who are not afraid of any spitefulness or condemnation in order to uphold the dignity of laws of Allah Almighty on this earth. It is on this basis that the I’bad Ar-Rahman groups are extremely careful regarding the establishment of family, and matters pertaining to guiding their wives and children until the pleasure of serenity of heart and soul can be felt by the servants of Ar-Rahman in this temporary world, what is more in the life in hereafter, that is eternal in nature.

`Ibad Ar-Rahman want their families to embrace the religion of Islam as Islamic persons who are really and truly Islamic from the point of aqidah. Their faith is the faith of those who are really and truly believe in the Ar-Rahman. Their sincerity is the sincerity of those who are really and truly sincere towards their actions and deeds of charity. I'bad Ar-Rahman is one and only group of Ar-Rahman slaves, who want the waves of change to come from within, that is to  strengthen the family institution in the manner shown by beloved Prophet Muhammad; when the solehah families have been established, and these institutions have become strong on the strength of Islamic faith, that is sound and sustainable, then only the ensued vision of making themselves as leaders (imams) in matters of good and change management can be implemented with more efficient and dynamic.

Later, at the end of Surah Al-Furqan, Allah swt decrees about the awards and rewards that He would bestow upon `Ibad Ar-Rahman Al-Mu’minin groups, who have weathered the hardship in life in this world, full of trials and tribulations like being tossed about in the waves in the open sea, with the thunder split the sky asunder, that really test the faith and piety of His servants who are called I’bad Ar-Rahman.

Allah decrees, meaning:

“Those are the ones who will be rewarded with the highest place in heaven, because of their patient constancy: therein shall they be met with salutations and peace. Dwelling therein;- how beautiful an abode and place of rest! Say (to the Rejecters): ‘My Lord is not uneasy because of you if ye call not on Him: But ye have indeed rejected (Him), and soon will come the inevitable (punishment)!’”  - Surah Al-Furqan, verse 75 - 77  (Abdullah Yusuf Ali)
